Lavrov confident Armenia-Russia-Azerbaijan summit will happen

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has expressed confidence that a meeting between Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan will take place. According to him, the consent of three parties is required for this.

“You said the Kremlin’s comment on a possible trilateral meeting was that a consensus is necessary for a meeting. I can confirm that in order for there to be consensus, all those who are going to meet must agree with this. I am sure that such a meeting will take place," he told a press conference on Friday, November 19, RIA Novosti reports.

Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said earlier that a trilateral summit of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan will be necessary at some stage, but this requires the consent of all parties.
