EU tries to limit Russia's influence on states included in Eastern Partnership
The recently signed EU-Ukraine declaration is a significant event, the results of which will be seen in the near future, an Armenian expert said.

"This declaration caused damage to Russia's destabilizing potential in Ukraine. The European Union has come to a rational conclusion, involving Ukraine in the European energy sphere of influence," Ruben Mehrabyan told PanARMENIAN.Net.

"U.S. support of Georgia and Ukraine's aspiration to NATO, EU support of Nabucco and last week's EU-Ukraine declaration appear to be parts of consistent program aimed to limit Russia's influence in the countries included in the Eastern Partnership," he said.

At that he remarked that the post soviet countries will benefit by the change in EU-Russia and NATO-Russia balance of forces and interests.
