Armenia, Greece, Cyprus hold join military exercises

The special forces of Armenia, Greece and Cyprus completed the joint Close Quarter Battle 2021 military exercises on November 22-26, Yerevan's Embassy in Athens reveals, citing a report from the Cypriot Ministry of Defense.

The joint drills sought to increase combat capability and interoperability of the combined special forces in combat conditions. In particular, the exercises involved rapid reaction combat shots, destruction of moving targets, night shooting, urban warfare, as well as handling of the dead and wounded in residential areas

"The implementation of such exercises, in combination with the implementation of the Tripartite [Defense] Cooperation Program between Greece, Cyprus and Armenia, reflect the excellent cooperation between the Armed Forces of the three countries," the Defense Ministry of Cyprus said.
