Putin, Macron discuss Karabakh "in detail"

Russian and French Presidents Vladimir Putin and Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday, December 14 discussed the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement "in detail", the Kremlin reports.

Putin briefed on the main results of the trilateral meeting of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on November 26 in Sochi, timed to coincide with the anniversary of the signing of the Statement on Nagorno-Karabakh on November 9, 2020. He told Macron how the countries are implementing measures to comply with the ceasefire, the return of refugees, and the restoration of trade, economic and transport links.

The two also expressed support for the "expediency of stepping up work within the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs (Russia, U.S., France)."

European Council President Charles Michel hosted a trilateral meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Tuesday.
