The Armenian Defense Ministry has called out Baku's continuous disinformation about the Armenian troops allegedly opening fire towards Azerbaijani posts on the border.

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry issued a statement late in the evening of February 18, claiming that the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire on Azerbaijani military positions located in the northeastern part of the border earlier in the day.

In a statement on February 19, the Armenian Defense Ministry urged Azerbaijan to refrain from disseminating false information on the situation, "which in no way contributes to the stability of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border".
