Armenia published maps to prove Azeris have not pulled back forces

The Armenian Foreign Minister has published maps which show that Azerbaijan has not withdrawn its forces from the village of Parukh and the heights nearby.

On Sunday, March 27, Russia’s Defense Ministry said the Azerbaijani side carried out the withdrawal of its units from near the settlement of Parukh. It added that Azerbaijan’s troops had twice violated the ceasefire in Karabakh’s Askeran region, where the Defense Ministry said three troops were killed.

"We have to state that the incursion of Azerbaijani units into Nagorno-Karabakh continues in the area of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, which is reflected in said maps," the Armenian Foreign said on Monday.

"We expect that the peacekeeping force of the Russian Federation in Nagorno Karabakh will take concrete measures to stop the incursion of Azerbaijani units into the area of responsibility of the peacekeepers and to withdraw the Azerbaijani armed forces.

Yerevan said it wants a "proper investigation" of the actions of the peacekeeping contingent and answers to "a number of questions".

"The Foreign Ministry also noted "with satisfaction that the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs have made a clear assessment of the recent escalation of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, stating that it is a consequence of the movement of Azerbaijani troops."
