Tech giant NVIDIA is opening a research center in Armenia, Deputy Speaker of parliament Hakob Arshakyan said Thursday, April 7, recalling Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visit to the company headquarters in Silicon Valley back in 2019.

"Today I am glad to announce that NVIDIA is coming to Armenia," Arshakyan said. "One of the world's leading technology giants, with an annual turnover of $27 billion and more than 20,000 employees worldwide, is opening its new office in Yerevan."

The Armenian branch will be headed by Rev Lebaredian, Vice President Omniverse & Simulation Technology at NVIDIA.

The company has already posted job openings for the Armenian market.

Nvidia is an American multinational technology company that designs graphics processing units (GPUs) for the gaming and professional markets, as well as system on a chip units (SoCs) for the mobile computing and automotive market.
