The number of people killed in Azerbaijan's aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh in the fall of 2020 stands at 3825, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told lawmakers on Wednesday, April 13. According to him, most of them have been identified and buried.

The Prime Minister noted that he admitted his guilt and responsibility for both the war and the defeat, but said he did not accept accusations of treason and handing over land.

"I have admitted my guilt and responsibility for both the war and the defeat right from the beginning, but I have not and will not accept the accusations leveled against me by the opposition after November 9, 2020, accusing me of handing over lands, thus betraying [the nation]," Pashinyan said.

The Second Karabakh war lasted 44 days and ended when Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev signed a ceasefire statement on November 9, 2020. Under the deal, the Armenian side returned all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.

According to him, he should not be accused of handing over land, but rather "of not handing them over".
