Turkey cancels prominent Armenian violinist's concert

World-famous Armenian violinist Ara Malikian's concert has been canceled by Turkey's Ministry of Culture, which failed to specify the reason, Bianet reports.

The concert would be part of the Capital Cultural Road Festival program of Turkey's Ministry of Culture, set to be held at the Presidential Symphony Orchestra Concert Hall on June 1.

People who bought tickets were informed with a message about the cancellation.

Malikian performed in Istanbul and Izmir in 2012 and 2019, respectively. Tickets for his concert to be held at Istanbul Zorlu PSM on June 9 are still available.
