3.5-magnitude quake hits Armenia's Gegharkunik

A 3.5-magnitude earthquake hit the area near the village of Shorzha in Gegharkunik province on Sunday, May 29, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.

The tremor happened at a depth of 10 km below the surface. It has not caused any damage, but was felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.

Weak shaking was felt elsewhere in Gegharkunik, as well as in some communities of Kotayk and Tavush provinces.
