On July 14, the council of the National Assembly of Armenia will convene an extraordinary meeting to discuss a draft appeal to the Constitutional Court on the termination of the powers of opposition deputies.

The measure seeks to strip all 33 deputies of the Armenia and “I Have Honor” blocs of their parliamentary mandates, with the exception of Taguhi Tovmasyan from the latter and Ishkhan Zakaryan, who left the bloc earlier.

Earlier, National Assembly President Alen Simonyan described the process of depriving the opposition parties of their mandates as "very pleasant."
