Kremlin can’t confirm Putin’s expected visit to Armenia

The Kremlin has not yet confirmed the forthcoming visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Armenia, Yury Ushakov, assistant to the head of state for international affairs, said on Thursday, September 8.

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated that Putin's visit to Armenia could take place in October-December.

"I have no confirmation of this. So far, our side has not officially spoken about this," Ushakov told reporters in response to a question whether such a visit is being prepared.

He added that the working contacts of the Russian leader and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan are active, they have met several times in person this year. They also regularly speak on the phone.
