Railvneshtrans to contribute to Armenian export development
In cooperation with Communications Ministry, Railvneshtrans will sign an agreement on the delivery of juices from Russia via Caucasus-Poti train ferry. Every month 14-18 carriages of juice will be delivered to Armenia in refrigerated trains, Railvneshtrans Freight Forwarding Company news department reported.

According to the report, the company's own carriages will return from Armenia without a load.

With the purpose of boosting exports from Armenia, "Railvneshtrans" plans to organize the export of meat, fish, fruit, as well as beer, juices, beverages, wine, preserved food to be transported in refrigerator cars.

As trains are not loaded on their way from Poti to Caucasus, the company hopes for increased import to Russia. "To increase the import, 50% reduction of transportation price on Poti-Caucasus route was introduced by the ship owner," the report says.
