Armenian spirits in demand as sanction curtail alcohol import to Russia

There’s a growing demand for Armenian sprits in Russia as Western sanctions on the supply of alcohol to Russia are leading to a shortage of a number of popular brands by the New Year, RBC says in a fresh article.

Luding Group Marketing Director Andrey Ushakov believes that wines and spirits from Armenia and Georgia, including Georgian cognacs, Georgian chacha and fruit distillates, are becoming more and more popular.

In addition, Metro, a retailer is planning to import sparkling wines from a number of countries, including Armenia.
