Armenia lights up iconic buildings on World Children’s Day

Armenia joined UNICEF on World Children’s Day on Sunday, November 20 by lighting up in blue iconic buildings in the country to highlight what children need in order to grow happy and healthy.

“In 1989, world leaders made a historic commitment to the world’s children by adopting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child,” said Christine Weigand, UNICEF Representative in Armenia.

“Unfortunately, today, too many children around the world are still not enjoying what we all wish for: health, education, protection and happiness for every child.

“We all need to come together to make a change. When it comes to children’s rights, there’s only one team!”
