270 children from Nagorno Karabakh stranded amid Azerbaijan’s closure of the Lachin Corridor went to school in Armenia on Monday, January 9, adviser to the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Aida Gyanjumyan said.

Children have been enrolled in schools in the town of Goris and the capital city of Yerevan, Gala.tv reports.

There are children who go to music school, so they will also attend the music school in Goris. We have a child who is studying at the medical college, so they will also go to the local college,” Gyanjumyan added.

Since December 12, the sole road connecting Nagorno Karabakh to Armenia - the Lachin Corridor - has been blocked by self-described Azerbaijani environmentalists. Karabakh residents have reported food and fuel shortages, while hospital patients don't have access to essential medicines, with only a handful allowed transfer to facilities in Armenia proper.
