Decision on Karabakh status may be shelved, Aliyev says
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said his country's position on Nagorno Karabakh implies security of the population, NK local government issues and Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.

"Determination of Nagorno Karabakh's status may be shelved. Unilateral decision is ruled out. Azerbaijan will never be a part to talks envisaging Nagorno Karabakh's legal secession from Azerbaijan," Aliyev said in Moscow. "Baku calls on the Armenian side to approach the issue in the framework of international law."

At that, he said that Baku understands the importance of overland communication between Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh.

"We do not see problems. The issue of Lachin corridor can be solved efficiently so that Azerbaijani refugees who will return there after the settlement of the conflict can feel secure," Aliyev told Vesti TV Channel
