The main obstacle for activation of Armenia's trade-economic relations with Italy, as well as with other countries is the unsettled condition of the Nagorno Karabakh problem. Italian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary ambassador to Armenia Paolo Andrea Trabaltsa told "Arminfo" agency about it. In the ambassador's words, de-jure Armenia and Azerbaijan are still under the condition of being at war and foreign investors cannot ignore it. The blockade of communications by Azerbaijan and Turkey vastly undermines the economic and transport potential of Armenia. As soon as the situation shifts, the economic condition of Armenia will also change and its foreign trade relations will become activated. Thus, the world community is interested in intensifying the negotiation process, especially when all parties are interested in settling the conflict, Trabaltsa stressed.
