Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has revealed that Armenia has finished working on the draft peace treaty with Azerbaijan and forwarded the proposals to Baku.

Pashinyan told a Cabinet meeting on Thursday, February 16 that the proposals were also forwarded to the OSCE co-chairing countries.

"By proposals, we mean the draft of the complete document with our proposals. We were guided by the logic of receiving such a document that we are ready to sign at any time. It is clear that it should be acceptable to the Azerbaijani side as well," said Pashinyan.

The Prime Minister also noted that he is ready to take responsibility and sign such an agreement, which will become a guarantee of lasting and stable peace.

Weighing in on the situation in Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh), Pashinyan said the gas supply, which was partially restored on February 15, was suspended again 2 hours later.

Since December 12, the sole road connecting Nagorno Karabakh to Armenia - the Lachin Corridor - has been blocked by self-described Azerbaijani environmentalists. Karabakh residents have reported food and fuel shortages, while hospital patients don't have access to essential medicines, with only a handful allowed transfer to facilities in Armenia proper.
