On February 23, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan, who is in Syria, visited Aleppo, the Foreign Ministry reveals.
At the airport, Minister Mirzoyan was greeted by Governor of Aleppo Hussein Diab.
The Armenian foreign policy chief visited the Shaar district affected by the earthquake, where rescuers from Armenia carried out search and rescue operations to help alleviate the crisis.
In Aleppo, Mirzoyan also had a meeting with the employees of the "Armenian Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise" SNPO.
The Foreign Minister earlier visited Turkey, which, too, heavily suffered from the devastating earthquake.
