Armenia says 1.4 km “problematic” border section clarified with Azerbaijan

Armenian and Azerbaijan have clarified 1.4 km of border in a “problematic” section in the southern province of Syunik, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told reporters on Thursday, April 20, Aysor.am reports

“We have 11 km in the village of Tegh, 5 km of which we considered problematic. As of today, I can say that this problematic segment has been reduced by another 1.4 km,” he said at the National Assembly.

"This means that the border has been clarified, it means that both we and the Azerbaijanis have a common opinion on that point. It also means that the Armenian border guards are stationed at a certain distance from that border, as well as the Azerbaijani ones," said Nikol Pashinyan.

The Prime Minister said that they hope that the remaining 3.6 km section will be clarified too.

"But until that happens, we cannot say that it happened," said the Prime Minister.
