Armenian-Turkish Agreement is a correct diplomacy result
"ARFD-Dashnaktustyun should have waited a little before taking radical steps," Director of NAS Oriental Studies Institute Ruben Safrastyan told a news conference in Yerevan. According to Mr. Safrastyan, the Armenian-Turkish agreement is a correct diplomacy result. "By signing the document, Turkey clearly reiterated its commitment to normalize ties with Armenia without preconditions. By doing that, it actually put an end to its anti-Armenian policy. Moreover, I think Armenia is now the only South Caucasian country to enter into a dialogue with the West. This is confirmed in the US State Department report expressing satisfaction with Armenian-Turkish agreement," Mr. Safrastyan said.

He also added that Turkey has now started making pro-Armenian statements, something which was impossible several years ago. "An example of that was the apology campaign resulting in the collection of 30 thousand signatures. But this forms very little percentage of pro-European intellectuals of Istanbul. The overwhelming majority of Turkish population pursues radical, Kemalist and anti-Armenian views."
