Volume of gas supply was reduced by 11,8% in first quarter of 2009
Volume of natural gas supply to Armenia was reduced by 11,8% in first quarter of 2009, compared to 2008, to comprise 668.7 cubic meters of gas, ArmRosGazprom reported.

625.5 million cubic meters of natural gas was supplied in the first quarter of 2009, a decrease of 11,2 % registered compared to 2008 results.

Compared to 2008 results, gas consumption volume was reduced by 9,4%, to comprise 268.0 million cubic meters. 73.9 million cubic meters were consumed by industrial companies, a decrease of 6,7% was registered compared with 2008 results. Gas consumption volume reduced by 29.5 % in the sphere of energetic, comprising 150 million cubic meters of natural gas.

ArmRosGazprom CJSC has monopoly rights for supply and distribution of Russian natural gas on the Armenian market. The company was founded in 1997. Gazprom Public Corporation authorized capital share comprises 80%. Armenian Government holds 20% of capital share.
