Armenia-Azerbaijan peace deal “won’t solve everything 100%”, says Baku

A peace between Yerevan and Baku treaty will not solve everything 100 percent, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said in an interview with Azerbaijani television (via Haqqin.az) on Sunday, December 24.

Bayramov took credit for “all important initiatives” related to the peace agreement and maintained that Baku is also getting “some positive feedback" from Yerevan.

The top Azerbaijani diplomat said they received Armenia’s latest package of proposals at the end of November and within a month responded in kind.

“I think the meetings will take place in 2024. We look at the matter realistically and optimistically,” he said.

“At the same time, when we talk about a peace agreement, we must understand that it will not solve everything 100 percent.”
