Armenia, India agree to boost trade, industrial ties

Armenia and India have agreed to boost trade and industrial relations, according to Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan.

Kerobyan on Thursday, January 11 met with India's Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on the sidelines of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 in India. The two agreed to make “concrete steps” to develop trade and industrial relations between the two countries.

Later in the day, Kerobyan met with Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal. According to a post on Kerobyan’s Facebook, the Ministers discussed a number of issues related to the increase of trade turnover between the countries, expansion of logistics infrastructure, India-Iran-Armenia trade channels, as well as ways to strengthen channels to Georgia and Europe.
