Edward Nalbandian invited U.S. Secretary of State to Armenia
Currently in Washington, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to discuss development of Armenian-American relations and Armenian-Turkish reconciliation.

Describing the joint statement issued by the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Turkey as historical, Secretary Clinton reaffirmed the U.S. administration's commitment to facilitate normalization of relations between the two countries.

In discussing Nagorno Karabakh conflict resolution, the top officials dwelled on the meeting Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan will hold on May 7.

"As Co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, the United States will endeavor for peaceful resolution of the conflict, what will bring peace and stability to the region," Secretary Clinton said.

The Armenian Minister invited the U.S. Secretary of State to visit Armenia.

In the framework of the visit, he also met with Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Fried to discuss development of bilateral relations.
