In 2023, 660 oral, video, and written Red Cross messages as well as phone calls were exchanged between the Armenians detained in Azerbaijan and their relatives, the International Committee of the Red Cross reports.

“We visited the detained individuals on a regular basis and helped them restore or maintain contact with their families,” the ICRC said in a short statement on Thursday, February 8.

In total, 303 persons from Armenia are still missing in relation to Azerbaijan’s aggression in 2020-2022, as per data registered by the ICRC earlier.
