Georgia still faces tense situation
Situation in Georgia continues to remain tense, Paata Zakareishvili, project manager of Cooperation and Development Centre, told a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent. "Atmosphere in Tbilisi was relatively quiet today. Yesterday, 15 pro-opposition figures were arrested. Arrests and searches continue," the Georgian political scientist said, adding that the opposition will resume protest actions on May 7. "The opposition prepares to block Tbilisi's main streets and conduct rally in front of Georgian Public Television which has been disseminating inadequate information recently."

Armed mutiny in Georgia was averted, and its organizers - former high-ranking Defense Ministry officials, are arrested. As reported by Shota Utashvili, Head of Information-Analytical Department of Georgian Interior Ministry, mutiny had broken out "to disrupt NATO exercises or stage a military coup". Uprising seems coordinated with Russia, the Georgian official noted.
