Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has expressed condolences over one of Russia’s worst terror attacks ever, which left at least 60 people killed and 145 wounded.
“With sincere sorrow, I received the tragic news of the terrorist attack that took place in Moscow and took the lives of innocent people,” Pashinyan said in a message sent to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Armenia strongly condemns this inhumane crime against the civilian population.
“We mourn together with the people of Russia and send words of sorrow and support to the family members and relatives of the victims who suffered irreparable loss.”
Video footage from the Crocus City Hall shows the vast complex, which is home to both the music hall and a shopping center, on fire with smoke billowing into the air. State-run RIA Novosti reported the armed individuals “opened fire with automatic weapons” and “threw a grenade or an incendiary bomb, which started a fire.” They then “allegedly fled in a white Renault car,” the newsagency said (via CNN).
