AAA is convinced of Armenia's unwillingness to make concessions
The Armenian Assembly of America (AAA) does not share Armenian community's concerns over possibility of Armenia's making concessions in Karabakh settlement process and Armenian-Turkish relations, AAA Regional Director in Armenia and NKR Arpi Vardanyab told a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent. "We welcome the negotiations over regulation of Armenian-Turkish relations and settlement of Karabakh conflict. Society's concerns over these issues are quite normal. But what surprises me is that people criticize government just because they are unaware of details or believe Turkish media reports," AAA representative said, adding that she didn't believe that Armenia has ever made or will ever make serious concessions.

As mentioned by Arpi Vardanyan, the negotiation process contains certain details which are confidential. "We can't demand that Armenian leadership inform us of all details. Negotiating countries are never allowed to disclose details concerning talks. This is not accepted in international practice," AAA regional director noted.

With regard to ANCA's refusal to meet Armenian FM Edward Nalbandyan, Mrs. Vardanyan said, "I think such step was a way of expressing the Committee's dissatisfaction."
