Erdogan: Ankara will achieve peace in the region
Last-year war between Georgia and Russia in August showed the fragility of the situation in the region and the significance of securing the stability in the Caucasus. In this connection Ankara suggested the project of Stability and Partnership Platform in the Caucasus. This was stated by Turkey's prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Meli Mejlis of Azerbaijan.

According to him, Turkey's and Azerbaijan's opinions related to the regional geopolitics are the same and the most significant issue of Turkey's foreign policy is the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh problem.

"We will achieve peace on Azeri soil, return of all refugees to their lands. In current Armenian-Turkish talks we primarily think about that and the issue of the Nagorno Karabakh is the most important," said Erdogan.

As the prime minister of Turkey state, there are no peace and stability in the Caucasus without settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh problem. "Achieving peace is the main purpose of our talks with Armenia and perspectives will be useful for all, including Azerbaijan," 1news.az reported.
