Armenia records 260-265 new cases of cervical cancer annually, with most linked to oncogenic strains of human papillomavirus (HPV), according to the Ministry of Health.
HPV vaccination, a key preventive measure, is included in Armenia’s national immunization schedule.
In 2023-2024, vaccination coverage among target groups has increased.
The ministry urges individuals to get vaccinated against HPV, undergo screening, and receive timely treatment if necessary.
Early-stage cervical cancer is highly treatable, and early detection significantly improves the chances of full recovery.
