The Italian Senate has unanimously adopted a resolution titled "Initiatives to support the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan" with 112 votes in favor. The Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, announced this via his Telegram channel.

"I thank our Italian colleagues for today's discussions, meetings, and steps aimed at establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus," Simonyan wrote.

The resolution, proposed by 73 senators from both ruling and opposition parties, obliges the Italian government to:

-Actively support dialogue between the two countries by fostering mutual trust.

-Adopt economic initiatives aimed at establishing intensive and balanced economic relations with both Armenia and Azerbaijan.
