Armenian Ambassador Grigor Hakobyan met with Iran’s Vice President for Strategic Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif on February 24. They discussed key areas of strategic cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing the need to maintain regional security and stability.
Hakobyan and Zarif underscored the importance of fostering peace and mutually beneficial partnerships based on the principles of territorial integrity and national sovereignty, according to Armenia’s embassy in Iran.
The Armenian ambassador and the Iranian vice president also explored ways to enhance economic and energy cooperation, discussing prospects for expanding collaboration in these sectors.
Hakobyan also met with Iran’s Deputy First Vice President for Regional Cooperation and International Affairs, Ali Najafi Khoshroudi, as well as Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Majid Takht Ravanchi. The parties discussed the Armenia-Iran bilateral agenda and recent regional and international developments.
