Arshakyan: unnecessary statements may harm Armenian POWs

In a recent video, National Assembly Vice Speaker Hakob Arshakyan engaged in a conversation with a flower vendor. In the comments, a citizen reminded him about Armenian prisoners of war in Azerbaijan.

"Hasn't anyone explained to your team the importance of addressing the issue of Armenian POWs in Azerbaijan?" the individual asked, as reported by Aysor.am .

Arshakyan responded by emphasizing that daily efforts are being made in this area and that unnecessary statements could harm this work.

"Thank you for the question. There's no need to explain the importance of addressing the issue of POWs and detainees. As a result of our work, dozens of individuals have returned to Armenia, and the work continues daily.

In this matter, it's essential to adhere to the principle of not causing harm, and unnecessary statements can damage the work," noted the Vice Speaker.

Protests are ongoing in Yerevan in support of Artsakh's former State Minister Ruben Vardanyan, who has been on a hunger strike for a week in a Baku prison, and other Armenian captives.
