Iranian FM calls Yerevan visit highly successful

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, summarizing his visit to Armenia, stated that he had a “very successful visit to Yerevan.”

He added that the trip proved to be effective, focusing on issues of mutual interest and regional matters, according to Pastinfo.

“The strong friendship between Iran and Armenia stems from centuries of shared history, cultural closeness, mutual respect, and common interests, forming a foundation of trust,” stated the Iranian foreign ministry official.

“Our vision for the Caucasus is based on respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty, economic cooperation, and preventing interference from outside actors,” he added.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan welcomed Araghchi at his official residence. During the meeting, the guest emphasized the ancient economic and cultural ties underpinning Armenian-Iranian relations. He described the relationship as strategic and said recent developments highlight the need for deeper cooperation.

A presentation of Araghchi’s book, The Power of Negotiations, translated into Armenian, also took place in Yerevan. The Armenian edition includes a foreword written by Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. The translation was supported by the Iranian Embassy in Armenia.
