FFA condemns assaults against child at Armenian Cup final

The Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) has responded to an incident that occurred following the final match of the 2025 Armenian Cup, held on May 13.

According to the FFA’s communications department, during the post-match period, a security staff member employed by a contractor providing services to the federation used disproportionate force against a minor who had entered the pitch.

The FFA strongly condemned the behavior, labeling it unacceptable and incompatible with the federation’s established values and rules. “The use of excessive force by anyone during a match or celebratory event contradicts the principles upheld by the FFA,” the statement read. The federation expressed deep regret over the incident and stressed that steps will be taken to prevent such occurrences in the future.

The FFA reiterated its commitment to ensuring a safe and humane environment at all games, particularly for young fans.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia also addressed the incident. Ministry spokesperson Narek Sargsyan stated that documentation regarding the case has been submitted to the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

Previously, the "First Armenian Front" fan movement released a video and a statement alleging that the FFA’s head of security used violence against a minor fan who entered the pitch following the "Noah"-"Ararat-Armenia" match.
