Mirzoyan, Barrot sign three agreements

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot signed three documents during the latter’s official visit to Armenia, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

Among them was a Declaration of Intent, which outlines plans for annual political consultations between the two countries’ foreign ministries, cooperation in combating disinformation, and training programs for diplomats.

The parties also signed a protocol regarding an amendment to the agreement between the governments of Armenia and France concerning the establishment and operation of the French Development Agency (AFD) and Proparco in Armenia. The purpose of this protocol is to extend the current agreement to include the Expertise France agency, enabling it to operate in Armenia. This expansion will support capacity development for local governments, state bodies, and the national government.

In the presence of Mirzoyan and Barrot, Gohar Ghalyan, acting director of the Enterprise Armenia investment support center, and French Ambassador to Armenia Olivier Decottignies, on behalf of Business France, signed a memorandum of understanding between “Enterprise Armenia” and the French company Business France.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot is on an official visit to Armenia and will also participate in the Yerevan Dialogue conference.
