Armenia's Anti-Corruption Committee has uncovered a criminal scheme involving the theft of $590,000, resulting in the arrest of two individuals, including a senior official from the Investigative Committee.
The scheme was orchestrated by Gor Tadevosyan, the acting head of one of the Investigative Committee's departments, and executed by Edgar Grigoryan.
Grigoryan entered the Investigative Committee building twice, disguising himself with a rubber mask, medical mask, glasses, and carrying a black bag. He exited the building 16 hours later, having changed his appearance, and traveled to various provinces before returning home.
Both Tadevosyan and Grigoryan have been arrested and have confessed to their involvement in the theft. Notably, Grigoryan is also implicated in the November 9, 2020, incident involving the storming of the government building.
