The Armenian national para-armwrestling team returned from the 27th European Championship in Cluj-Napoca, Romania with 7 gold, 2 silver, and 6 bronze medals, according to Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.
Competing under the Armenian Armwrestling Federation, athletes excelled in both left- and right-arm categories across various weight classes.
In the left-arm contests, gold medals were won by Sargis Stepanyan, Valter Harutyunyan, Gevorg Hambardzumyan, and Naira Mesropyan. Bronze medals went to Gurgen Antonyan, Volodya Bazeyan, and Kamo Karapetyan.
In the right-arm events, Valter Harutyunyan, Volodya Bazeyan, and Naira Mesropyan secured first place finishes. Gurgen Antonyan and Shahen Babayan earned silver medals, while Hayk Stepanyan, Edward Nikoghosyan, and Sevak Simonyan placed third.
