Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has dismissed Armen Abazyan from his role as Director of the National Security Service (NSS) of the Republic of Armenia. The duties will be temporarily carried out by Deputy Director Andranik Simonyan.
“Guided by Article 9, Part 5 of the Law on Public Service and Article 4.1, Part 2 of the Law on National Security Bodies:
Armen Abazyan is hereby relieved from the position of Director of the National Security Service.
The responsibilities of the Director of the National Security Service are temporarily assigned to Deputy Director Andranik Simonyan.”
