Post-electoral situation in Iran poses no threat to Armenian community
As national-religious minority, Armenian community in Iran never interferes in domestic political developments, Norvank foundation's deputy director Sevak Sarukhanyan told journalists on June 17. "Iranian-Armenians do not face any threats. The do not intend to participate in post-electoral processes as they support both candidates," the expert stressed.

According to him, both President Ahmadinejad and his rival Mir Hossein Musavi highly appreciate Armenian community's role. During his presidency, Ahmadinejad did his best to assist Armenian community and even allocated sums from State Budget to for the implementation of cultural and educational programs, he added.
