Azeri media disseminate disinformation about Polish parliamentarian
Poland-Azerbaijan friendship group's delegation headed by Veslav Voda was visitng Baku on June 16-17. In this connection, Azerbaijani media disseminated false statements that Polish parliamentarian had said his country unequivocally supported Azerbaijan in Karabakh peace process and recognized its territorial integrity. According to Azeri media reports, Veslav Voda allegedly pronounced the following words in Gube graveyard, "I am shocked by what I saw. It's incredible brutality against civilians. It is necessary to preserve Gube graveyard, and show it to the world. It is necessary to make international assessment on the violent acts of Armenians."

In this connection, Poland's Foreign Ministry released official statement, denying Azeri media's false statements. Baku's "propaganda methods" surpass all permissible limits, the statement says. Besides, Foreign Ministry has recommended that Polish Ambassador in Azerbaijan declare official protest and demand clarifications.

On June 18, Armenian Ambassador to Poland met with leader of People's Party parliamentary faction Stanislav Zhelikhovski. During the conversation with the Polish official, Armenian diplomat stressed that Veslav Voda's alleged visit to the graveyard was used by Azeris for conducting anti-Armenian propaganda.
