
Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a phone conversation with Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, during which the sides discussed developments in the Middle East.
The ministers expressed concern over the continued escalation of the situation, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“Both sides emphasized the importance of establishing stability and security in the region,” the statement said.
Earlier, on February 28, Israel and the United States carried out airstrikes against Iran, killing Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran subsequently launched retaliatory attacks toward Israel and Gulf countries hosting U.S. military bases.
