Armenia to host first Eastern Europe congress on human rights
A delegation from International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) has arrived in Armenia. Among delegation members are Federation Chair Suer Belasen, Executive Director Antoine Bernard and East and Central Asia Department Director Alexandra Kulaeva.

International human rights administration uniting over 150 organization in over 100 countries has voted for conducting the 37th Human Rights World Congress in Yerevan. This is the first time such congress is held in Eastern Europe, and Armenia had the honor to host it on its territory. Congress will focus on "Justice System", FIDH Executive Director Antoine Bernard said, adding that justice established groundwork for the development of democracy, respect for law and economic stability.

Within congress frameworks, about 400 human rights activists, including ICC prosecutor and Senegal's former president will visit Armenia.
