
The press service of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced that he had congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the victory of the Civil Contract party in the parliamentary elections, Auroranews.am reports.
“According to preliminary data, most international observers assessed the elections as having been conducted in accordance with the country’s electoral legislation, in an open manner and with appropriate conditions for citizens to express their will.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished Nikol Pashinyan continued success in his work in pursuit of Armenia’s long-term national interests.
The President noted that Kazakhstan is ready to continue active cooperation with friendly Armenia in all areas of mutual interest.
The Head of State also wished the Armenian people success in the development of their country, as well as peace and prosperity,” the statement said.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze also sent congratulations to Nikol Pashinyan on his success in the National Assembly elections, according to Radar Armenia.
“I sincerely congratulate Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his party on their success in the elections.
I look forward to continuing our close cooperation to further strengthen the strategic partnership and friendly relations between Georgia and Armenia for the benefit of the well-being of our peoples,” he said.
According to the results of the regular National Assembly elections, four political forces will be represented in the new parliament: Civil Contract, the Strong Armenia Alliance, the Armenia Alliance, and the Prosperous Armenia Party. The seats will be distributed as follows: Civil Contract — 61 mandates, Strong Armenia Alliance — 28, Armenia Alliance — 11, and Prosperous Armenia Party — 5.
