If the Constitutional Court issues such a ruling, preparations for new elections will have to begin, Justice Minister Srbuhi Galyan said when asked whether the ruling Civil Contract party would participate in a new vote if the court invalidates the election results.

"If the Constitutional Court makes such a decision, we will have to prepare for elections," she said, according to Panorama.am.

The Constitutional Court is continuing its review of the consolidated case based on petitions filed by seven political parties and alliances challenging the results of the June 7 parliamentary elections. Galyan is participating in the proceedings as the representative of the Civil Contract party.

The deadline for the Constitutional Court to publish its ruling on the challenge to the June 7 election results is July 4.

On June 26, the Constitutional Court began examining the case challenging the parliamentary election results. Petitions were filed by the Strong Armenia Alliance, the Wings of Unity Party, the Democracy, Law, Discipline Party, the Prosperous Armenia Party, the For the Republic Party, the Hayastan Alliance, and the New Force Reformist Party.
