Narek Karapetyan will accept his parliamentary mandate, Samvel Karapetyan, chairman of the Strong Armenia party, said while speaking to reporters outside the courthouse, Aysor.am reported.
Commenting on the domestic political situation and the election results, Samvel Karapetyan said the party does not recognize the outcome of the elections but does not believe the struggle should be limited solely to street protests.
“Rejecting the election results does not happen only through street protests,” he said.
Narek Karapetyan said that, after taking their parliamentary mandates, members of their political force will not receive bonuses.
“Our political force will not receive bonuses. My salary will be one dram, and the remainder will be transferred to charitable purposes. Every month, a report will be presented showing where the charitable funds have been allocated,” he said.
The Constitutional Court rejected the lawsuit filed by seven political forces. As a result, the final election results allocate parliamentary seats as follows: Civil Contract — 64 seats, Strong Armenia — 29 seats, Hayastan — 12 seats.
