Elena Vardazaryan has been appointed head of the Opera Company and chief concertmaster of the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, the theatre announced.

According to the theatre, Vardazaryan has made a significant contribution to its creative work through her many years of professional experience and her high artistic performance standards.

"We congratulate Elena Vardazaryan on her responsible appointment and wish her new creative achievements and continued success," the statement said.
