
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys said he looks forward to continuing joint efforts with Armenia to support the country’s European agenda. He made the remarks in a post on X, responding to a message from Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
Mirzoyan had earlier congratulated Budrys on his reappointment as Lithuania’s foreign minister.
“Thank you for the warm wishes. I greatly value our friendship and look forward to continuing our joint efforts to strengthen relations between Lithuania and Armenia and support Armenia’s European agenda,” Budrys wrote.
On June 25, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda proposed to the country’s parliament that Lithuanian Social Democratic Party leader Mindaugas Sinkevicius be approved as prime minister. The Lithuanian parliament endorsed the proposal on June 30. Mindaugas Sinkevicius reappointed Kestutis Budrys as foreign minister.
On June 23, Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginiene submitted her resignation following changes in the governing coalition.
